A Dream Interrupted
In 2001, I was a commercial pilot, flying for Trans World Airlines. Based in St. Louis, I was, at the age of 50, just beginning a commercial career with the legacy carrier TWA. I had completed a twenty-year Air Force career, flying fighters, followed by a three year term with a regional commuter airline in Texas.
